“in the heart of Khao San road but incredibely quiet place”
Apr 18, 2010 | Trip type: Solo travel
“Kind of expensive considering the others hotels in the area but definitely a nice choice. Rooms have character. Staff is nice but tend to forget to give you all the info. Tiny swimming poll on the roof. Nice breakfast serving at the Bar next to the hotel. Bkf usually included in the price when booked online.”
“Good hotel but some rooms are noisy” Feb 27, 2010 | Trip type: Couples
“I've stayed at this hotel in 2007 and in 2010 and it is a good hotel, nice rooms, comfortable bed, good bathroom, nice pool open to 8pm, good breakfast included. However the rooms on the first two floors (the 2nd and 3rd floor) are rather noisy and it wasn't a great sleep. The rooms with a double bed are only on the 2nd and 3rd floor - the rooms on the upper floors with the single beds are much quieter.

“Good base for exploring Bangkok”
Feb 24, 2010 | Trip type: Couples
“Located on busy Khao San Road, the Buddy Lodge serves as a good base for exploring Bangkok's sights and nightlife.
We had a room on the third floor, away from the street, so we didn't hear any noise from outside. The room was clean and well appointed with a big comfortable bed and clean bathroom.
Afternoons, when the rain came, we spent a lot of time relaxing on the balcony(no view to speak of) and the satellite TV came in handy when the jet lag struck. If we weren't in the mood for late night TV, the dozens of clubs, bars, restaurants and shops on Khoa San Road were just outside.
The staff were friendly and helpful, speaking plenty of English, and the daily breakfast at the 5th floor restaurant/bar was good and had plenty of variety to keep us interested throughout our stay.

“A quaint room with a hint of a colonial feel” Jan 25, 2010 | Trip type: Couples
“A very nice room we got on the backside of the ko san road. It was dead queit at night which we were suprised at because the main street is a party street.
Location wise its pretty handy as its at the end of the street so you can escape without getting harassed by to many tut tut drivers. We were able to walk to the grand temple and the markets at the other end of the road are a must eat place.
the reception was helpful and answered all my questions.
We were able to check in at 11AM which was handy as we had flown in early in the AM on a overnight flight so wanted to get showered and changed. They have a shower by the pool that you can use even if your room is not ready as well.
overall the hotel worked out great for us
